Well, believe it or not, there has actually been progress! I've completed chart 1and 5 repeats of chart 2 and have only a smidge of the first skein of KP Shadow left. I'm using a yarn that is much lighter than what the pattern calls for, so I will be doing at least 3 or 4 more repeats of chart 2 before I move on to the last chart and the edging. I really like this design. The pattern rows definitely require that you pay attention and check often, particularly as the stitch pattern adds two repeats for every time you repeat the chart for a new section. I really enjoy knitting with the Shadow, too. It has stood up well to ripping/tinking and reknitting on several occasions and is not particularly splitty, for all that it's a 2-ply yarn.
