Las week we got dumped with about 6-8 inches of snow (maybe more, I stopped paying attention after that). Growing up in New England as I have, I'm very used to the fluffy stuff and going to work during a storm is par for the course of living in this part of the country. Particularly when you work for a company that never closes (24-hour operation). It's easy to give in to the griping and complaining that you so often hear from colleagues, eighbors, and friends in this kind of weather. After all, the driving is terrible, everything is wet and cold, shovelling snow can be back breaking and muscle wrenching...but I always have kind of like the big storms. For a little while the whole world looks done up in it's holiday best and all the durt and junk everywhere is covered imn bright white ice crystals.
This picture cam from in front of my office building during the storm. You'll pardon the little bits of light in the image....the flash on the camera reflected off the falling snow flakes.
As always, double-click image to enlarge.
